JASPER, Texas (Oct. 2, 2026) — A Jasper man wanted in connection with allegations involving a minor has turned himself in to authorities.

According to Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard (the transcript references Sheriff Chuck Havard, which should be verified), Milton Paul Beatty, 72, of Jasper, surrendered without incident Thursday.

Authorities said the charges stem from an investigation that began in late July and involved a person under the age of 18.

Beatty is charged with:

• Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact
• Solicitation of Prostitution Involving a Person Under 18

The investigation remains ongoing.
